      Wonderful! If I had to pick one work by Strauss it would be that.

      Continuing my journey through the Beethoven quartets with Op.127 and Op.130. It's a very interesting process listening to them all in sequence and with the score.

        I'll have to check the songs out; my Strauss work would probably be the Alpine Symphony.

        This morning: Pleyel's Clarinet Concerto. It was thought that he would become the greatest composer of his time. What happened?

              I was a captive audience, sitting in my car

              Seriously, it is a wonderful melody, but listening to it for fifteen minutes straight can be difficult, unless you are really in the mood for it or you really focus on the orchestration.

                I guess Bolero is good piece for trombonists to practice glissando and vibrato.
                To me the glissando in the lower register is an ugly or angry sound.
