anyway to increase private message size?

Peter or Chris, is there anyway you could increase the amount of characters in a private message? It would be helpful because the amount is limited to a short amount of characters as of now.

Yes, that was a bit annoying, wasn't it? I have changed it from 1000 characters to the same limit as regular posts - 10000 characters, which should be plenty.

In a similar vein, I wonder, Chris, if you could tell me whether you or any administrator - technically - could read a member's Private Messages? Please don't think I'm saying you would (!), I'm just curious to know if you could? Thanks.

Administrators can view how many private messages you have sent and received, and can delete all the private messages you have sent and received, but they cannot view the text of any of the messages. That is the default behavior of the software, anyway. It would be a fairly simple matter to patch it so private messages could be read, but I have not done this.
