I agree with you Waldstein. I would love to chat 'live' with the members here and I would like the forum managers to think about this suggestion. It has been suggested here before and the problem was all the different time zones and everyone being from around the world and couldn't all be in the room at once. but I don't think this should raise such a problem as many of us are in the same or similiar time zones anyway and also other forums do have chat rooms and have been able to work around that problem. I would like to hear how other members feel about having a chat room?! How about it??!!

It should be a simple enough thing to add, if the interest is there.

A chat section sounds good to me. Now I live in the CET (Central European Time)zone but I don't know where the other members are located. Are the majority of the members in the USA? If so then that would be a 6 to 9 hour difference from me and some of the other members here in Europe. If someone was interested in having a chat then it is a good idea to post when you would like to chat, including the time where you live (for example like at 12 noon Pacific Standard Time if you are in Calif.). That would make it 9pm here in Central Europe. This is what we do when we want to chat in one of my other forums where the majority of the members live in the USA, Europe and Japan.

The advantage of the BB is that everything is saved, whereas chat rooms are 'of the moment'. I prefer the BB format, also even classical music chat rooms tend to attract a large number of loons!
