    Attention Rod!

There seems to be a problem with your email Rod, so I'll post this mp3 request here.

Beethoven.com, that miserable excuse for a website, is letting me down yet again. From now on please contact me via r_corkin@hotmail.com.

I have uploaded op48. The files are titled thus: Op48-1.mp3 and so on until Op48-6.mp3.

    Credits are:
Songs 1-5: Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (tenor), Jorg Demus (piano). 'Ludvig van Beethoven Lieder', Deutche Grammophon, 453 782-2.

Song 6: Ian Partridge (tenor), Richard Burnett (fortepiano, Rosenburger circa 1800). 'Beethoven Songs' Amon Ra, CD-SAR 15.

No 6 is the only period instrument version from op48 I have, and offers a somewhat more emphatic conclusion than the lame yet oversung DG track, though of course the sonic continuity across the 6 works is adversely affected. But that's not my problem!
