    John Lill on our maestro

Here's a great article by the pianist John Lill:

The word ‘genius’ does not adequately describe Beethoven’s stature as a composer

Performing the composer’s complete piano sonatas is a great privilege and responsibility

When I was in a youth orchestra, John Lill was the soloist in Beethoven's 'Emperor' concerto. We don't hear his name so much these days.

What an experience for you Peter! No, but he is still performing!

John Lill is a great Beethoven performer but he has some weird convictions:

He has more than once referred to seeing the ghost of Beethoven. Maybe he has.

I am familiar with this article and have Rosemary Brown's books. Well, I am a believer in life after death, so why not?
