b) The Queen's annual garden fête (I have yet to receive my first invitation);

These are foreign words, don't cheat! You know that in our not-English-speaking countries, esp. Italy when we want to show our knowledge of Albyon, we pronounce SUSPANCE in an English rather than French way.

The reason for omitting umlauts, circumflexes, cedilas, accents etc.... is our English / American keyboard doesn't cater for there being any other language in the world!
