Beethoven Feralas - what is it?

Absolutely roche006 - I hope you haven't minded our puns. Beethoven had a damned good sense of humour which many people forget, always thinking of him as this Serioso man in a permanent rage over that penny! (I know we've had that one before!)

No offence was intended in this thread. I think the forum needed a bit of humour and it just took off. I hope we didn’t appear as a bunch of smug smart-alecs just because we know a bit about Beethoven. There are hundreds of other composers that I, for one, know absolutely nothing about, and I could easily make an unintentionally funny query in regard to any of them. If you look back over past threads you will see all of us posting questions.
Please don’t let all this put you off Beethoven!

Soon got over it after the Ham and Caviar sonata. Tried listening to those Diabolical variations after that but gave up and put on Fidelity instead (wonderful recording with Caravan, better than Sulky's version).Originally posted by Michael View PostApologies. I couldn't resist it. I was hoping when the penny dropped that you wouldn't get into a rage over it.

And its so unfair! - I'm sure his piece on the constipation of the mouse would have won him the Nobel Prize for Science had it existed then!

Well, his second-last piano sonata was written for a flat major but we don't know his name or what regiment he was in ......Originally posted by JA Gardiner View PostWell I'm still wondering who this Miss A Solemnis that LVB wrote from the heart to was - I think we should be told!
