    A new piano sonata

    Dear friends,

in the last year I composed a piano sonata in f minor. I would be happy if you would find some time to listen to the movements and share frankly what you think of it

You can find the movements at:

Is the opening a processional? There's a lot of opportunity for expressiveness which would make this a grand opening, but it didn't come through on my computer. I really like it.

Whoops - I listened to the second movement first. That's what my previous comment referred to.

Now I heard the first movement. Not only very pleasant to listen to, but in many aspects, reminiscent of the great master himself. It is easy to imagine the drama aided by a wider dynamic range in live performance, and from what I heard, a fine piece.

I re-recorded my sonata in f-minor now with Garritan Personal Orchestra and I ask you to listen to it again. I think the sound quality improved very much:

          I. Allegro con brio

          II. Adagio sostenuto con variationi

          III. Allegro

What do you mean with "sheet music"? The work is written as a Finale file.

Can you export it as a pdf?

Sorry I haven't had time to listen to this yet - very busy and a lot going on, but I'm certainly looking forward to it during the holidays given the rave reviews here.

So far I never thought of creating sheet files of my works. Now I checked my Finale software and found out how to create Graphic "tiff" files, so if you are interested I could send you a zip file for each movement, for I don't have a webspace where I could put these zip Files.

Now I will also create also the scores of my Scherzo on sketches for Beethoven's Tenth and my quartett on his last sketches for a stringquintett from 1826...
