String quartet op. 127 - for symphony orchestra

After I presented to you the first movement of this string quartet op. 127 as an orchestra movement https://www.gerdprengel.de/op127-1_orch.mp3 here now also the wonderful Adagio:
https://gerdprengel.de/op127-2_orch.mp3 . I must admit that so far I hadn't treasured it so much than those of the following late quartets, but now I just adore it! It is, I believe, together with the ones from op. 106 and op. 111 the longest and most komplex Adagio by Beethoven - and surely one of his most beautiful Adagios! Please listen to it with headphones ...

I start now with the Scherzo but I doubt whether this one is suited for an orchestration ... let's find out ...

Thanks for that Gerd, yes it truly is one of the very beautiful late slow movements and I like your orchestration. I have a version for string orchestra which also works well conducted by Murray Perahia.

wow, this string orchestra performance is also really nice - thank you!

I just finished the glorious Scherzo - certain among Beethovens 5 most outstanding Scherzos! https://gerdprengel.de/op127-3_orch.mp3
