    Boycott Tchaikovsky?

As Ukraine’s culture minister, I’m asking you to boycott Tchaikovsky until this war is over

    Any thoughts? Personally, I think it's a no-no.

    That seems ridiculous.

I can see boycotting the 1812 Overture (but that has nothing to do the war).

Absurd and childish! I'd only boycott the 1812 on pretty much the same grounds as Beethoven's Wellington's victory - both not great music!

Not too long ago I listened to all the symphonies of Tchaikovsky and thoroughly enjoyed them. The Mariss Jansons set is my favorite. No boycotting going on here.

Well, this Sunday I'm going to go enjoy Ukraine's National Ballet performing the Swan Lake, so...if they are OK with it why shouldn't I be! In fact, I regard buying those tickets (they weren't exactly cheap either) as straight support to the Ukrainian performers, and thus chipping in for the whole art scene over there.
