    Now, as to the Russian Count Andrey Kirillovich Razumovsky, I have read that he was a proficient amateur violinist and a competent torban player. I understand that the torban is a Ukranian musical instrument. Your post is thus very topical !! I wonder what Beethoven would have had to say about the current events unfolding?

      There is no real evidence of course that Beethoven ever really escaped his rather simplistic approach to politics, so we see the immense paradox that we see in other artists of colossal ability allied to a deep naivety about politics,, I suspect in fact Beethoven would have fallen for most of the Globalist propaganda, we are the world etc.. all about freedom . And it is a thought that Beethoven would possibly have been today a cultural revolutionary.
