    Score of Op.61a

I received this email and wondered if anyone out there can help David with this one :

"Just found your fine Beethoven website - an excellent resource!

I wonder if you can point me in the right direction with a query about
Beethoven's own arrangement for piano of his violin concerto. My father is
very keen to get a score of this - in fact the ideal would be an arrangement
with the orchestration reduced to a second piano part, as available for the
piano concertos. I've spent some time doing web searches around some of the
standard music publishers, but no luck... Any suggestions you may have
    would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks for your attention,

    David Wood "

The closest I was able to come was this at sheetmusicplus.com:
    http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store/smp_detail.html?sku=P R.576007110&cart=31967479723126935&searchtitle=She et%20Music

That is the full score, I believe. They also sell a couple editions of the regular violin concerto with piano instead of orchestra, I think, so you could buy one of those as well and have a second piano part.

That's the best I could come up with.

Thanks Chris - I suspect that's the best we'll come up with, so I'll pass this on to David.

Had a response from David, and as the credit goes to you Chris, I thought I'd share it:

'Many thanks for your swift reply. Your link led me to the Boccaccini &
Spada website, and it looks like they do a version of Op. 61a for two
pianos - just what we wanted. This has really pleased my father, so thanks
        once again for your help.

        David Wood'

Um...he got to B & S from sheetmusicplus.com? Well, whatever - I'm just glad he found what he wanted. I guess that's another job well done

It does mention them there as the publishers of Op.61a.
