Desert Island Discs Yet Again

Apologies for resurrecting this thread but I've just noticed that this is the 75th anniversary of the original "Desert Island Discs" series. BBC Music has again published their list of the top eight pieces of music chosen during this period. Our mutual friend is featured four times!
To paraphrase Meatloaf, four out of eight ain't bad!

The trouble is that on arriving on this island with their discs, most would have no option but to stare at them in frustration having no means of playing them - these days I'd take an mp3 player!

Ah - but I noticed it's called a "desert island" - not a "deserted island".

True, so I'd head for the nearest hotel and use the internet!! Seriously though, having listed my choices a while back, I think I'd change most of them now!
